The Yelsk territorial center for social servicing is a state-run organization involved in rendering psychological, legal, economic and other types of aid to the population.

The center is structurally divided into the following departments:

• primary information department;
• “at-home” social servicing department;
• department for urgent servicing of the population.

The main function of the primary information department is to register citizens who need assistance.

The department for urgent servicing of the population is designed to render a one-time urgent social aid to maintain people’s vital functions.

The department for social assistance “at-home” is designed for permanent of temporary servicing and before-doctor medical assistance to people who suffer from full or partial loss of self-servicing ability.
